12:07 am	Well, That was interestin' I have no idea if the strike was effective in any way or not, but I have to admire beckyzoole for organising it ethically and swiftly, and I'm sorry to see how much utter trash and trolls she's had to endure. In other words, she's got brass ballocks and a hide o' cast iron. Brava! Someone may throw my hat. Meanwhile, because I have a VERY lewd and deeply disturbed mind, I used my 'off lj time' to finalise the pattern for the Escapade Stole. 24" of Gull Wings (same as Lacy Wings but a much butcher name, aye? The fandom associations are obvious!) Horizontal insert: Beaded Garland Stitch (because ALL our Museboys need tiaras) Continuing 2 repeat of Gull Wings on either side as long edge border, with a 36" centre panel of...... *giggle* Yer gonna love this! 5:42 pm	Pant pant gasp Well, I've started by reposting 4 of my old stories to pirategasm_tres. That's enough for one day. It will take me a bit to get all of it up there, esp. Vindaloo. Hope I don't have to chop up the chapters! Meanwhile, the fury rages at lj. People are being awfully complacent. Sad but expected. This moving stuff is never easy. Speaking of moving, we've got another place to check out in Pasadena tomorrow. *sigh* Why do I sense many afternoons of driving all between Colorado and Orange Grove blvds willynilly? Ah well, this, too, is finite. I'm thinking of my new nest here at ij and things I wish they had. FIRST: SPIDERBOT PROTECTION!!! That's really important and should be addressed. Second and nowhere near as important are cosmetic changes: bells, whistles, and all that sort of thing. And I DO wish we had the edit function on comments. That was always SUCH a pain until lj changed the code. And I got my Moroccan Days shawl kit---the yarn is SO beautiful and the beads I chose look glorious. I've been petting the yarn compulsively! I'm going to do the Magic Carpet scarf first because I took a look at the shawl pattern charts and damned near had a coronary! What have I gotten myself INTO!? 1:02 am	Starting Anew I am beginning again. In more ways than one. After 19 years, we are moving. After a bare 5, Live Journal has proved itself too unreliable for my taste. At least in fanfiction. I'll be grabbing time for the next few weeks between packing to repost all my fanfiction here in all fandoms. 6:46 pm	PLANTSEX! For the first time, it's over 90 since July 4th! But it's not supposed to last more than a few days. Too hot to stay out on the porch. I had to tuck a whole bunch of aerial roots back into JackPlant's blanket of moss (dirty pirate plant! They really do look quite obscene!) and while tucking in the biggest one (about the diameter of my little finger), he came on me. Hey, what else do you call it when your hand is all sticky? *giggles madly* Of course, I had just been giving JamesPlant his weekly spray. Slash by human proxy? Plant porn? HAPPY BIRTHDAY capnsparrow4evr!! *raises a tankard and showers you with ill-gotten gains* absinthe_shadow went and pimped the hawkfromhandsaw challenge. I've asked for prompt #17.
